The largest problem with getting leads involves working the
hardest way possible Vs. working the easiest way. The vast
majority of businesses today markets backwards, and then they
act all surprised when there’s no response.

The vast majority of business owners do this. They Create or
have services or products from their company and they expect to
go out and find people to sell their products or services to.

This is a huge mistake. This method of trying to make money can
work if you have an unlimited capacity for spending money,
wasting time, and have no concern for risk.

If you’re like most of us, we who want to do things a little
more safely and cheaply. There’s is one positive way to make a
large income.

Find Your Market First. Find Out What The People Want. Then let
them buy what they’ve told you they want. You must not spend any
time thinking about the product or service you will render until
you’ve discovered the market.

A perfectly matched message to the right market is the best and
safest way to go. I am stressing the market to you in a strong
way and not the product or service.

You must decide what market either you, or someone else you
choose to work with knows throughout. You have to find markets
that really, really want things.

There are literally thousands of potential tightly niched
markets out there. Your first job is to find them. find what
people want before you even begin to think about what kind of
products or services they might buy from you.

There are some bad products or services out in the world today
that very surprisingly sells extremely well. This has baffled
most common cultures and they are still selling.

You must «find the crowd» first before getting into that
wishful thinking you have the best products or services. Find
them and find out what they want.

Pick a group you thoroughly understand that you can share your
passion with. Your credibility with. Finding a target market,
one you understand completely will allow you to know people’s
wants. Then start building your business around your findings.

The most common hurdle businesses face are they think they have
the next big thing next to baked bread. Then they ask
themselves, «who is going to buy it?»

Do you believe that everyone will line up to do business with
you? Not Hardly!

One of the most damaging mistakes is people reading the old
«Road-To-Riches» books taught in marketing. This is the reason
why the majority of people in their own businesses don’t last
two years.

Finding a market of interested prospective customers who
respond to you is the greatest lesson learned ever! Listen to
them tell you what they want. Let them buy whatever they want to
buy.

Imagine having no bothersome counseling. No product samples. No
taste testing. No advising. Just good old selling. You show them
your product or service and they buy it.

Then once they are sold you get them to refer friends and family
and you go out and sell more. Your customers do not want a sales
counselor. They just want a house, car or piece of equipment
etc… Being a pushy salesperson is the greatest toughest
challenge there is.

No one believes anyone’s sales pitch. No one cares about your
«professionalism» or how long your company has been in business.
No one wants to hear how your company will solve all their
problems and make their lives better.

You must constantly look for the one out of a million people
who actually want what you’re selling or want to invest in your
services. Period!

You have to fight everyone by being an adversary. And until you
rearrange your thinking about finding the market first, you’ll
always be in this needless battle.

If you are not sure what a mailing list company is, we can help you

If you are not sure what a mailing list company is, we can help you

Brokers of any sort are people who deal in the buying and selling of things without ever owning the product they are moving.  They work as a go between for two parties and a broker can deal in just about anything that can be bought and sold.  Email list brokers buy and sell lists of email addresses and when you are looking for a way to market your company, you can use a mailing list company like email list brokers to help you find potential clientele.  This type of mailing list company can help you legally obtain a list of names that you can then use to tell people about the products and services you offer.

A mailing list company is contracted to find you viable mailing addresses – and even email addresses – of potential customers who want to hear from you.  These email list brokers compile their lists from surveys, opt-in message boards, and other legal means of email address collection.  Say you sell cosmetics and you are trying to boost your sales.  You could purchase a list from a mailing list company that contains the names and addresses of men and women who have signed up to receive information on cosmetics.  The names email list brokers provide you are not culled from websites illegally or gained through cold calling.  And it is important that you as the customer of a mailing list company know what sources they used to compile their lists for you.

Once you find a mailing list company that you feel comfortable with you will need to provide them with your criteria for the ideal customer.  This demographic information – and the more complete the better – is then used to match you and your product up with the customers they found.  So, if you sell cosmetics and in the past your customers have been between the ages of 18 and 35 purchasing makeup only and none of the other items you offer, you can give this information to the email list brokers and in return they will provide you with a list of people in the age range you are looking for who purchased makeup in the past.  There may be some people on that list that fit your demographic buy have also purchased other items in the past.  Does this mean they are not viable customers?  No.  It simply means that they could be potential new customers for you.

You want to use email list brokers who have an impeccable track record of helping their clients.  The better they know their job, the more targeted your marketing campaign is going to be and the more clients you are going to interest with your sales pitch.  You want to use a mailing list company that tweaks their lists on a regular basis, who makes sure addresses are correct and current, and who remove old information that is doing nothing more than cluttering up the database they use.  You should find email list brokers who have helped customers with a similar business as yours and you should always use a broker that will stand behind the list they provide you with in case the information is not viable and your marketing campaign turns out to be a bust.

How yahoo can survive its current woes

How Yahoo Can Survive Its Current Woes

Yahoo was once the be-all, end-all of search engines, and it was really the first big search engine to become a household name. However, Yahoo has come a long way from the days of $118 shares. In fact, thirteen years after it burst onto the internet scene, its CEO has been fired, thousands of employees have lost their jobs, and Yahoo’s shares have dropped. In fact, the site has been so over-shadowed by Google that it has been in major talks with several companies regarding a take-over.

What has caused all of this? There are several reasons. The first is that more competitors have appeared on the scene. Besides Google’s sudden domination of the search engine world, MSN, AOL, and http://Ask.com have all fought Yahoo for users’ attention. What’s more, Google’s emergence seemed to only really detract from Yahoo’s client base-the other three search engines have actually remained steady in recent years.

Yahoo has gotten away from its roots-the search market. That’s what they were originally known for, and it’s what they really do best. Searching the internet was once Yahoo’s entire reason for being, and it’s this purpose that they need to refocus on, especially now that sites like Google are expanding (and possibly repeating the mistakes of Yahoo’s past? Only time will tell on that one).

Yahoo also needs strong, new leadership to help give its employees a new sense of direction and purpose. This leader needs to be able to bring new ideas to the table while at the same time focusing the company. Yahoo is trying to be everywhere, and that strategy simply isn’t working. They’re running Yahoo Music, Yahoo 360, Yahoo Greetings, Yahoo Personals, Flickr, and much more. With the exception of Flickr, all of these sites have been done and have been done better. Yahoo 360, for example, is a social networking site, but it doesn’t enjoy anywhere near the popularity of sites like MySpace of Facebook. Yahoo Personals, likewise, has nowhere near the users that use dating sites like eHarmony.

If Yahoo is truly to survive, these services may need to be dumped. They don’t bring much to Yahoo’s resource pool and are, in fact, financial drains on the company. While Google spread out, too, they’ve actually spent some time revitalizing their search engine capabilities. They’re not spread thin, and they tend to dump anything that doesn’t work out like they expect it to.

Google has also worked on integrating its many services, something Yahoo has not yet done or has done poorly. Yahoo is trying to be known for so many things that it’s no longer really known for anything. They also need to stop spending money on Web 2.0 services. This puts them in direct competition with hundred of other companies, and it’s simply not needed. Yahoo should have two rivals, MSN and Google. They’re fighting a war on so many fronts that it’s hard to count them all.

Overall, if Yahoo wants to survive in the coming years, they need strong leadership that isn’t afraid to cut and run when services start to fail. They have many services that aren’t bringing in nearly as much as they’re costing the company, and these services need to go. Yahoo basically needs to embrace the idea of getting back to their roots. They’re a search engine. If they remember that and refocus themselves on doing what they do best, they can stage a come-back. If they can’t, the future of Yahoo may be grim.

So, in plain English, an online joint venture occurs when another online business is available for you to join forces with, in order to make money. Joint ventures hold no tricks other than locating a good partner. They can also be in a wide variety of different forms.

An example of this would be, a simple rather common joint venture, is whereby two information marketing businesses bundle their products together in order to promote them to their combined email lists.

This type of bargain generally has high potential. The exposure and customer base is increased as well as each business making money. Each customer and email list has the opening to receive benefits from the product of each business.

An excellent place to find a partner is by online networking. It may be that you already work with a business that you could partner with.
Once your potential partner has been located, the first step would be to draft a proposal, before you do anything else. It is necessary for you to highlight the exact thing that you would bring to the association and what has to be gained by your prospective partner.

Once your proposal is prepared and ready, and only once you have undertaken sufficient research on your potential partner, you can call them, send them a letter, or zip over an email to introduce yourself and outline your proposal. It is important to remember that you make your proposal about them. Inform them of what they have to gain and what you can offer, rather than what you have to gain personally.

If your potential partner is not interested, then it is important that you part on good terms. You may just cross paths with that person again and work together in the future. If, on a better result, your potential partner says yes, then it is time for you to enjoy the experience along with the profits.

How to stop procrastination from holding you back

How to Stop Procrastination From Holding you Back

Most people think that procrastination is just an annoying or funny habit. They might joke that they have a mile-long to-do list or a stack of books that they never get around to reading. Those examples would be a very mild form of procrastination — but it can get much more serious than that.

Procrastination can destroy your life if you let it. It can cause financial problems, relationship problems, health crises, and more.

The causes for procrastination are numerous, but here are three of the most common ones:

1. Believing a task will ‘take too long’, so you keep putting it off until you have more time.

2. Believing a task will be too difficult, so you keep putting it off until you feel ready to handle it.

3. Waiting for a ‘better time’ to tackle a task, such as waiting until you’re not so stressed, or your life circumstances have quieted down, or waiting until you have less demands on your time.

Have you ever procrastinated because of these reasons? Most people have. But the problem arises when:

1. You never have more time.

2. You never feel ready to handle it.

3. A better time never arrives.

What then? The task never gets accomplished, and conditions continue to get worse as time goes on.

There is one simple way to deal with all three of these procrastination habits: do a little each day!

One major theme runs through all three of those causes above, and that is that you don’t believe you have what it takes (time, ability or resources) to complete the whole job. And maybe you really don’t. But can you do SOME of it? Can you work on it for a few minutes at a time?

In most cases, the answer will be yes.

The greatest way I’ve ever found to overcome procrastination is to push myself to get moving on something — even for a few minutes. I’ll set an egg timer for 15 minutes or so, and promise myself that I can stop after that if I want to.

Once the 15 minutes are up, however, I no longer feel the need to procrastinate. I’m making progress and feeling good about it.

Try it yourself and see the difference!

And remember, procrastination cannot hold you back if you make it your mission to take action — even if only for a few minutes each day!
